If you would like a customised strength training for triathlon program, then we can provide this for you.

These are tailored to suit your needs and goals, and to fit in with your swim, bike, run training schedule.

Why Do Strength Training?

Strength training does not necessarily mean lifting weights in a gym. It can range from this to some simple exercises you can do in your own home.

The advantages of following a strength training program are that you will become a more robust triathlete. This means you are less likely to get injured and you will be able to maintain good technique in all three disciplines.

Our strength training programs can be designed to improve your strength and power, or can focus more on general structural maintenance and injury prevention.

Depending on your experience and goals the programs could include any of the following:

We provide a program that fits in with your other training, and links to the videos and photos on our website so that you know exactly what to do.

However we are only able to provide the program, we cannot supervise you doing the sessions! So we are not responsible for how you do the exercises. If you are uncertain of the correct technique we recommend that you seek the assistance of an appropriately qualified local strength and conditioning coach.

If you’ve never done any strength work before don’t worry, our programs are designed to build up gradually, giving you a good level of basic strength before attempting anything more ambitious.

We will also ensure that the sessions fit with your swim, bike and run training appropriately, so that they complement rather than negatively affect your other training.
