Be The Best Triathlete You Can Be!

Training for a triathlon without really understanding what you need to do and why would be like suddenly deciding to build a house with no knowledge of what’s involved.

Would your triathlon training be effective? Probably not!

What if you don’t understand the jargon? Who do you listen to?

Do you just do a bit of swimming, cycling and running, train ‘hard’ and hope for the best?

How Do You Know If The Training Will Work For YOU?

Optimal training doesn’t come from a generic programme from a stranger (no matter what their pedigree), or from mathematical formulas.

It comes from the application of a little knowledge, a lot of common sense and some experience.

Going back to that house analogy, we will be your architects! You will get the knowledge and tap into the experience you need to make your triathlon training the best it can be. Oh and the common sense? Well, that’s up to you!

You’ll find information on the science behind preparing for a triathlon, how to select the right training for you, as well as information on many other aspects of preparing to race – from nutrition to triathlon gear to how to get through transitions speedily.

Triathlon-training

Unfortunately we can’t work miracles…. There are no quick fixes or magic formulas, you still need to put in the training! “You get out what you put in”, but by putting in quality you’ll be confident you’ll race well.

Yes, race….that’s what all that training is for right?!

We’ll also help you understand how to race – tactics and tips to help you succeed on the day. Little things can make a big difference to the outcome of an event and we’ll guide you through the whirlwind of a race from preparation beforehand through to the race itself: start, transitions, the lot!


Who Are We?

We are husband and wife team Mark and Rhona. Mark is a former sports scientist for the British national triathlon team, and now coach for the British Olympic Development team, coaching some of the brightest British stars of the future in drafting triathlon, including the 2011 U23 World Champion.

Rhona is a sports scientist with more than 10 years experience of providing physiology support to triathletes.

We’ve worked with triathletes of all levels, from beginners through to Olympic and World class professional triathletes.

We want to pass on the knowledge we have gained through experience and science. You will be satisfied that you are doing the right training – understand triathlon and exactly what training you need to do to achieve your goals.
